Can I just say how much I love seeing gay or lesbian military couples now that DADT has been repealed!?!?!?!
It really makes me so happy and lets me know that I will have full equality one day.
Continuing with the popular theme of post-DADT love, we bring to you this heart-warming video of a Tucson resident, April, reuniting with her girlfriend after a tour of duty, and surprising her with a very special Christmas gift.
[Image: A political cartoon with three panels. In the first, a large suited man holds a smaller man in military uniform by the lapels. The suited man shrieks, “Gays and straight cant serve in the military side by side! It’s not natural!” while the military man thinks, “This sounds oddly familiar…” In the next panel, labeled “1980s,” an imposing man in a period suit shouts at the camera, “Women and men can’t serve in the military side by side, it’s not natural!” In the third panel, labeled “1940s,” another imposing man in a period suit shouts at the camera, “Coloreds and whites can’t serve in the military side by side, it’s not natural!”]

One week from today, the military will officially be done with Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. Judging from the upcoming Marine Corps Times cover story, it looks like the military’s ready.
Soldiers goofing around in the barracks, listening to Britney. And people are worried about gays in the military? I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be ok, lol.
