dead-men-talking: As a rule, I wanted to keep religion and politics off this blog…but I’ll consider this relevant because I’m studying in England.  And it’s smacked me in the face every time I’ve gotten cash over the last 6 months. Great Britain/United Kingdom/whatever does NOT have separation of church and state, but the United States do. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE. Okay, back to your regularly scheduled dead people posts. I’ve always found this a bit odd myself.  In the same vein as not allowing the 10 Commandments to be displayed, but allowing “In God We Trust” on currency and in courtrooms.  It’s weird.

I’ll let you decide whether it’ll happen by then. If we joined the EU, would we get universal healthcare? And you know, if the US is splitting up, why aren’t Mexico or Canada? And Texas wouldn’t accept Mexican rule… This is obviously wrong, as we will ALL be ruled by China. No. We shall be ruled by Iceland. China is boring. This was obviously done by someone without any real knowledge of American culture as he lumped both the Carolinas and Tennessee in with the Northeast.  These states would refuse to go along with those states just on principle for most things.  And texas accepting Mexican rule? I’d like to see that fly.

In a 20-country group of America’s peer countries in the OECD, the U.S. is now worst, or almost worst, on nearly 30 leading indicators of social, environmental, and economic well-being.

  • prevalence of mental health problems;
  • obesity rate;
  • portion of people going without health care due to cost;
